Drs. Carol Jenkins and Katherine Kerschen, Lecturers in the Department of Comparative Literature & Thought, have been awarded a DI2 Accelerator Award for Open Educational Resources in order to develop the first-year German language curriculum in an OER format. The goal of the project is to achieve improved fluency for our students while increasing accessibility and inclusion and encouraging critical and ethical thinking, with an eye towards creating lifelong learners. In order to achieve maximum connectivity and flexibility, the textbook will be digital and, eventually, available to all at no cost.
